JAKARTA (1 Nov 2013) – Zulham Malik Zamrun found the back of the net twice as Indonesia pulverized Kyrgyzstan 4-0 in a friendly that was played tonight at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Zulham grabbed two goals with strikes in 28th and 39th minute to be followed by further goals from Titus Bonai in the 67th and Ahmad Jufrianto in the 71st minute.
But the win has failed to bring about a broad smile from coach Jacksen Tiago when he commented that it was the overall development of the squad which was of far more importance than the score line.
“The goals were not important as compared to how all the players moved to create those scoring opportunities,” said Jacksen.
Indonesia will take on China in a 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers on 15 November 2013 at the Shanxi Stadium in Xian.
