YANGON (23 Aug 2011) – Heading into the final sprint of the Myanmar National League 2011, Zeyar Shwe Myay FC have taken over the lead from Yangon United at the top of the standings.
And this week, Zeyar’s move to the top of the table was all the more satisfactory when they beat Yangon United 3-1 at their own turf.
Elsewhere, Manaw Myay was held to a 1-1 draw by Southern Myanmar while third-placed Ayeyawady United fell to a 5-2 defeat to league newcomer Rakhapura United.
Basement side Zwekapin United are still without a win after 15 matches where this week, they slumped to a 6-1 humiliation at the hands of Magway FC.
