YANGON (27 July 2014) – Struggling Zeyar Shwe Myay put up one of their best performance to date when they held mid-table side Manawmyay to a pulsating 4-4 draw in the Myanmar National League (MNL) 2014..
Zeyar has been slipping down the standings since the start of the month and where after picking up just one point on the weekend saw them being placed ninth out of the 12-team table.
It was Zeyar, who struck the early goals off Chukwuazu’s eighth minute penalty before Sunday added the second goal in the 28th minute as Mawaw pulled a goal back off Assale in the 45th minute for the score to stand at 2-1.
Manaw were stronger into the second half off goals from Ibrahim in the 51st minute, Kambu in the 82nd and Assale’s second in the 90th but Zeyar were equal to the task through Martin in the 60th and Chukwuazu deep in injury time.
In the meantime, Zwekapin FC edged Chin United 2-1 with the former finding the back of the net off Naing Naing Kyaw in the 64th minute and then Tin Win Aung in the 77th.
Chin United’s only goal of the game came off Keith Martu Nahtwo minutes to the end.
