Despite trailing by a goal from Lucian Dronca in the 11th minute, the Young Lions fought back off Obadin Aikhena in the 33th minute and then the winner from Fadhil Noh’s header on 57th minute.

“The game is not over yet. The boys showed determination, spirit and courage to win,” said Sundramoorthy.

“We have a further ninety minutes to go and the return leg will be very important for us. We know each other’s style of play, so it is very important for us not to lose concentration. All I can say is it will be a real attacking match and there will be a lot more exciting play as both teams come out for a win.”
