YANGON (9 Aug 2011) – A comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of Zwekapin United this week has put league leaders Yangon United just ahead of second-placed Zayar Shwe Myay FC in the Myanmar National League 2011.
With the three points, Yangon United have picked up 32 points from 13 matches as Zayar Shwe Myay FC maintained the pressure at the top with a close 2-1 win over Yadanarbon FC for the 29 points from the same number of matches played.
Ayeyawady United, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Okkthar United, are third with 27 points.
Zwekapin FC are still at the bottom of the standings with no point to their name after 13 matches.
