YANGON (9 Sept 2012) – Yangon United made it back to back titles in the Myanmar National League when they picked up their second crown in two years last night following a comprehensive victory in the final game of the season.
In the match that was held at the recently refurbished Youth Training Centre in Thuwanna, Yangon United beat Ayeyarwady FC 4-0 with a hat-trick from Kyi Lin (11th, 18th and 25th minute) and another from Brazilian striker Cesar in the 35th minute.
For their effort, Yangon United picked up MMK 100,000,000 (USD 115,000).
Second in the league this year is Kanbawza (KBZ) who won MMK 75,000,000 (USD 86,000) while third is Yadanarbon, who took home MMK 50,000,000 (USD 58,000).
