YANGON (7 Oct 2011) – Yangon United made club history when they beat Naypyitaw in an eventful YTC Cup final to add the MFF Max Cement Cup winner’s trophy to the Myanmar National League title they won earlier.
Yangon beat Naypyitaw 5-0 thanks to the goals by Hansson (27th minute), Du Du (37th and 47th) and Charles Obi (53rd and 74th).
Earlier this week, Yangon had lifted their first crown of the Myanmar National League following their 2-2 draw against Ayeyarwaddy in their final game of the season.
As champions of the MNL, Yangon were awarded with 50 million kyats (USD 60,240) while they earned an additional 30 million Kyats (USD 36,144) for winning the MFF Cup.
