YANGON (22 June 2014) – Defending champions Yangon United moved up to third in the Myanmar National League (MNL) 2014 when they crushed Manaw Myay 2-0 to keep up the pace at the top of the table.
Yangon had two quick goals from Cesare to thank when he found the back of the net in the 34th and 37th minute for them to pick up 24 points from 13 matches.
They are three points adrift of leaders Yadanarbon FC, although the latter still have a game in hand.
On second is Naypyitaw FC who also picked up a win when they edged Kanbawza FC 2-1 with goals from Aung Kyaw Naing in the 40th minute and Dipiedi in the 46th minute. Kanbawza scored their only goal off Kyaw Zeyar Win right at the hour mark.
In the meantime, Zwekapin crushed GFA FC 4-1 with goals from Kentaro’s fifth penalty and then Aziz’s hat-trick (32nd,45th and 46th minute).
Obinna scored the only goal for GFA six minutes to the end.
