YANGON (13 Jan 2010) – Yadanardon FC, who are three points clear at the top of the standings, will know later this week if they have done enough to lift their first ever Myanmar National League crown.
Yadanarbon, who beat Kanbawza 1-0 last week, will be up against fourth-placed Yangon United on Sunday with the crown up for grabs provided second-placed Delta United falter to Okkthar United tomorrow. Incidentally, Delta who beat Southern Myanmar FC last week, could not get the better of Yangon United when they fell to a 1-0 loss the previous week. But even should Yadanarbon fell at the hands of Yangon, Delta will still have to up their game by several notches considering that they will have to score at least six goals for them to lift the league title this year. And in a competition as close as the Myanmar National League, that is easier said than done. CURRENT MYANMAR NATIONAL LEAGUE STANDINGS 1. Yadanarbon FC 29pts (+13) 2. Delta Utd 26pts (+8) 3.
