BANGKOK (5 August 2017) – Former international Worrawoot Srimaka has called up a total of 27 players for the SEA Games which starts in less than two weeks in Kuala Lumpur.
The Thais are the back to back champions of men’s football having won the coveted crown in 2013 in Myanmar and also in 2015 in Singapore.
With the likes of Chanathip Songkrasin and also Kawin Thamsatchanan already over the age of 22-years-old, Thailand will be relying on their new set of stars like Chenrop Samphaodi, Chaiyawat Buran and Supachok Sarachart.
The team will take on Eastern FC from Hong Kong on 10 August.
The Thais are in Group B of the SEA Games where they will open their campaign against Indonesia (15 August), Timor Leste (17 August), Cambodia (20 August), Philippines (22 August) and Vietnam (24 August).
The list of 27 players will be trimmed down to 20 players before the team’s departure to Malaysia.
