JAKARTA (9 June 2014) – A stellar cast of world legends which included Luis Figo, Marco Meterrazi and also Hidetoshi Nakata scored a 5-2 win in a friendly that was played against an Indonesian legend side at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
It was Figo who scored the opener early in the 11th minute against an Indonesian side that included Bambang Pamungkas, Widodo Putro and Kurniawan.
A foul by Materrazi in the 18th minute was put to Indonesia’s advantage when Bambang converted from the spot.
Hendro Kartiko’s goal was prised open again at the half hour mark when Robbie Fowler made good on a cross from Figo as Gianluca Zambrotta then slotted home from close range for a 3-1 score at the break.
In the 57th minute, a lob from Rui Costa was headed into goal by Fowler as Louis Saha then completed the humiliation for Indonesia with the fifth goal of the game off a pass from Hidetoshi Nakata.
Two minutes to the end, Gendut Doni scored the final goal of the game to beat Francisco Toldo for the final score 5-2 score line.
