BANGKOK (17 Oct 2013) – Datuk Worawi Makudi won a third term as president of the FA of Thailand (FAT) following the association’s Congress in the Thai capital this afternoon.
Incumbent Datuk Worawi beat Virach Chanpanich with 42 to 28 votes from the 72 eligible voters. One member did not cast his vote while another vote was deemed spoiled.
“I am very thankful for the belief by the voters to give me the confidence to head the FA of Thailand for another term,” said the 62-year-old Worawi.
“Now let us all close ranks and work together for the future of Thai football.”
Datuk Worawi has been at the helm of the FAT since 2008.
