HANOI (17 July 2014) – Shortly after signing a memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Japan Football Association (JFA), it was revealed that the Vietnam women’s team will also have a Japanese coach at the helm.
This came after the JFA had introduced Toshiya Miura as chief coach of the Vietnam men’s team and also Tanaka Koji as head of the Vietnam Football Championship (V-League).
The position of Vietnam women’s team coach is vacant following the departure of China’s Chen Yun Fat in June.
VFF President Le Hung Dung was handed dossiers of two Japanese coaches to lead the women’s team and while exact details were sketchy, he announced that the two candidates had extensive coaching experience and one of them had worked in Germany.
