WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: VIETNAM CHECK IN THIS WEEK

HANOI (15 April 2010) – The Vietnam national team check in this week in preparation for the AFC Asian Women’s Championship 2010 which will take place next month in China.

This year’s AFC Asian Women’s Football Championship 2010 will be held in Guangzhou on 19-30 May.

Under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Vu Ba Dong, the team will convene at the National Sports Training Centre in Hanoi.

They will then leave for the province of Tam Dao from 16-23 April for a physical training session before leaving for China on 7 May for a series of friendlies in preparation for the tournament proper.

Vietnam have been placed in Group B of the meet this year alongside the Republic of Korea, hosts China and Australia.

Group A are DPR Korea, Japan, Myanmar and Thailand.
