PHNOM PENH (2 Sept 2012) – SALT academy came back from behind to win their second successive Cambodian Women’s Cup when they beat Athik Reach Phnom Svay in the final that was played this week in Poipet.
The Battambang based side had conceded an own goal off Sok Rathana just twenty minutes into the game before SALT’s star striker Huot Kimsong nailed the equaliser with seconds left to the break.
With the score tied 1-1 at the half, Kimsong netted what was the winner in the 56th minute for their second victory over the same side they had played the year before.
