JAKARTA (12 June 2010) – The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) will be organising the Women’s Football National Championship 2010 on 19-24 July in Cibubur in Jakarta.
The national championship will be participated by teams from the PSSI satellite offices from the various districts. “We are looking at development obviously where we have included the stipulation that each team must have at least five Under-19 players in the team they are registering,” said Monica Desideria of the PSSI women’s football committee. “And to make sure that teams follow the regulation, we will be making checks to ensure that they are actually U19 players.“ Up to today, there are nine teams which have registered with PSSI and they are NTB, Sumatera Utara, Papua, Papua Barat, Jawa Barat, DIY, Bangka Belitung, DKI Jakarta and also Kalimantan Timur. “Registration is still opened until 15 June 2010. We hope that through this championship, we will get to see new young players coming to the fore,“ added Monica. |
