MANILA (1 Nov 2012) – The Philippines national team will take part in a four-nation meet called the LA Viking’s Cup that will see them play against the Trinidad and Tobago national team, Los Angeles Vikings and also California Cosmos in Fullerton, California.
The tournament has been set for 23 November to 2 December 2012 and will serve as the test after their first ever training camp in the United States.
“Yes it’s the first time. We’ve invited 40 plus potential women’s national team players,” said Ernie Nierras, the chief coach of the Philippines women’s team.
Nierras added that while in the US, the team will be holding tryouts for Fil-foreign women footballers who could possibly join the national team.
