PHNOM PENH (31 Aug 2011) – Battambang won the Cambodia National Women’s Football Championship following their commanding performance when they beat Bantey Meanchey in the final this week.
The hosts took the lead in the 25th minute off Thy Nait before doubling their lead with a simple tap in from Sorn Sreytaev after the lead.
Battambang then ensured the crown is theirs this year when Hong Kimhong converted a penalty close to the hour mark.
Bantey Meanchey scored their consolation goal deep in injury time.
