WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: BANTEAY MEANCHEY WIN GROUP TO AVOID BATTAMBANG

Siem Reap, who have been setting the pace from the start of the tournament on 4 September, found themselves at the wrong end against Banteay and as such had to settle for the second spot in the group.

With their second placing, Siem Reap will face Battambang from Group B as Banteay Meanchey take on Steung Trang in the other semi-finals encounter.

While Banteay Meanchey were the only team in either group not to drop a single point, Battambang’s ealy confidence suffered a hiccup when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Steung Trang in the final Group B match.

The semi-finals will be played on 11 September.
