YANGON (15 Feb 2015) – The Myanmar Under-20 will head out to Europe and Australia in preparation for the AFC U20 Championship that will be held in New Zealand from 25 May to 20 June this year.
They will play three friendly matches in England (between 31 March to 7 April), Germany (8-30 April) and then Australia (14-24 May). There are also plans to have a Youth Invitational Cup on 5-11 May.
“This practice will help us confront stronger teams in the FIFA U20 World Cup,” said head coach Gerd Friedrich.
In New Zealand, the Myanmar side will be up against the hosts in Group A as well as against Ukraine and the USA.
