JAKARTA (16 October 2023) – Indonesia head coach Shin Tae-yong will be out to make sure that the team goes for goals when they take on Brunei Darussalam in the second leg of the first round qualifiers of the FIFA World Cup 2026 tomorrow.
Brunei DS will play host to Indonesia in the return tie of the qualifiers at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium with the visitors having notched up a 6-0 lead from the first leg encounter a few days ago in Jakarta.
“The question is whether we can score a lot of goals or otherwise. There will be minimal rotation of players or change in the tactics for tomorrow’s match,” said Tae-yong.
“Actually we are focussed on the group games in November. We are in good condition and we will do our best for our supporters.”
Should Indonesia progress tomorrow, they will be placed in Group F of the qualifiers against Iraq, Vietnam and the Philippines.
