PETALING JAYA (27 Sept 2012) – SELANGOR supporters have brought out their “war drums” which were heard loud and clear at the Pasir Gudang Stadium on Tuesday as the Red Giants took a giant stride towards a semi-final berth in this year’s Malaysia Cup competition.
With a healthy 3-1 lead over Super League club side Johor FC from the first-leg quarter-final match, Selangor are in the driver’s seat, but head coach Irfan Bakti is taking a cautious approach for the second-leg encounter at the Shah Alam Stadium this Tuesday.
“Yes we are 3-1 up … but in football, nothing is comfortable. We have to be wary of this,” says Irfan, who is in his first season with the Red Giants after quitting Terengganu in a huff last season.
