VIETNAM WOMEN BEGIN TRAINING

The national women’s team is being prepared for the qualifying round of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games which will be held later in the year.

Towards making sure that Vietnam maintained their position as the 31st ranked team in the world, they have added eight names to the existing squad which will leave for the Thanh Long training centre in Ho Chi Minh City on February 1.

The eight players called to the national side are Duong Khanh Ly, Nguyen Anh Tuyet, Nguyen Thi Muon, Trinh Thuy Linh, Doan Hai Sam, Ngo Thi Hanh, Au Thu Que and Tu Thi Phu.

The rest of the players were from the side which played at the Asian Games in Qatar recently.

GOALKEEPERS:Dang Kieu Trinh, Le Tuyet Mai, Duong Khanh Ly, Doan Hai Sam.

DEFENDERS:Dao Thi Mien, Nguyen Anh Tuyet, Ngo Thi Hanh, Bui Thi Tuyet, Nguyen Khanh Thu, Nguyen Ngoc Anh.

MIDFIELDERS:Nguyen Thi Muon, Nguyen Minh Nguyet, Nguyn Thi Huong, Van Thi Thanh, Au Thu Que, Dong Kim Chi, Tran Kim Hong, Vu Huyen Linh, Tu Thi Phu, Nguyen Kim Tien.

STRIKERS:Do Hai Anh, Hai Nam, Bui Tuyet Mai, Trinh Thuy Linh, Le Thi Oanh.
