HANOI (6 Jan 2016) – The Vietnam Under-23 fell to their fourth defeat in five friendlies as they head towards the AFC U23 Championship in Qatar next week.
This time round the Vietnam U23 side under head coach Toshiya Miura conceded a 2-1 loss to Yemen in a friendly match that was played in Doha, Qatar.
Addin Mahdi scored two goals towards the end of the first half as Ho Tuan Tai narrowed the score line deep in injury time.
Vietnam will play their last friendly match against Japan tomorrow.
The AFC U23 Championship begins on 12 January.
