HANOI (13 Aug 2011) – The Vietnam national team have agreed to take on Japan in a friendly on 7 October 2011 in Kobe.
The game which is under the invitation of the FA of Japan (JFA) will see Vietnam taking on Japan for the first time ever – with the Japanese using the game to prepare for the third round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Vietnam failed to make the cut for the third round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers following their 4-2 aggregate loss to Qatar.
