HANOI (19 April 2012) – Vietnam have started their preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 when they have lined friendly matches against China and Hong Kong in June. Both games will be played away.
Ngo Le Bang, the general secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), made the announcement this week where he said that the idea in having the team play away from home as part of plans to give the Vietnam team more international experience.
Vietnam, which will play China on 8 June 2012, have never come up tops in six previous encounters while against Hong Kong which they will play two days later, the record stands at one draw and one loss from two matches.
