VIETNAM PREPARE FOR LEBANON AND CHINA

HANOI (21 Dec 2009) – The Vietnam national team checked into camp this week in preparation for the 2011 Asian Cup qualifying matches against Lebanon and China next month.

The players will train for two weeks before flying off to Lebanon to play the hosts at the Saida Municipal Stadium on 6 January 2010.

They will then return home to Hanoi for the match against China at the My Dinh National Stadium on 17 January.

Head coach Henrique Calisto (pix) has announced the list of players for the national team which also included seven players from the Under-23 team which lost the final to Malaysia at the just concluded 25th SEA Games in Laos.

VIETNAM

GOALKEEPERS: Duong Hong Son (T&T Hanoi), Tran Duc Cuong (SHB Da Nang).

DEFENDERS: Tran Dinh Dong (Song Lam Nghe An), Vu Nhu Thanh (Binh Duong), Le Phuoc Tu (Thanh Hoa), Truong Dinh Luat (Navi Bank Saigon), Nguyen Thanh Long Giang (Tien Giang), Dao Van Phong (Khanh Hoa).

MIDFIELDERS: Nguyen Vu Phong (Binh Duong), Pham Thanh Luong (Hanoi ACB), Le Tan Tai (Khanh Hoa), Nguyen Trong Hoang (Song Lam Nghe An), Tran Duy Quang (Hoang Anh Gia Lai), Nguyen Minh Chau (Hai Phong Cement), Pham Thanh Hung (SHB Da Nang), Nguyen Minh Phuong (Dong Tam Long An), Mai Tien Thanh (Vissai Ninh Binh).
