HANOI (18 Sept 2015) – The planned friendly between Vietnam and the Philippines has been cancelled.
The game was initially supposed to be played in Hanoi on 3 October.
But the Philippines Football Federation (PFF) sent an apology stating that they will not be able to play the game because they could not call enough players for the match.
Since it is not a FIFA calendar week, the PFF could not call on the players who are on duty with their respective clubs.
The match was supposed to be used a tune-up for Vietnam’s World Cup qualifying match against Iraq on 10 October and then Thailand, three days later.
