HANOI (22 April 2014) – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) are set to do some hard sifting and intense lobbying over the next several weeks as they look to come up with a shortlist from 16 candidates who have applied for the top job.
The VFF are on the lookout for a new coach for the national team following the departure of Hoang Van Phuc early last month.
Le Hoai Anh, the general secretary of the VFF, said this week that in most likelihood, the final decision on the next coach will be made in May.
“There are currently, 16 foreign coaches who have been nominated for the position as chief coach of Vietnamese national team,” said Hoai Anh.
