HANOI (13 March 2014) – Hoang Van Phuc has made it known of his decision to quit as the coach of the Vietnam national side. He made his decision to leave the country’s top job when he met with Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) general secretary Ngo Le Bang recently.
This is the second time that Van Phuc had informed the VFF of his decision to call it quits. The first was at the end of last year after Vietnam failed to make the cut for the semi-finals of the SEA Games.
“Currently, the VFF is focusing on the upcoming congress, which is scheduled on 15 March. It needs some time to decide a major issue as replacement of the chief coach,” said Le Bang.
