JAKARTA (20 July 2012) – Valencia CF have set 4 August as the date where they will take on the Indonesia national team in a friendly at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Justinus Lhaksana, from organiser My Event, said that a tough match is in store for the Indonesia national side with Velancia under new chief coach Mauricio Pelligrino promising to bring in all their top players for the one-off friendly tie.
Among the players expected to make the trip east are Roberto Soldado, David Albelda, Diego Alves, Ever Benega, Vicente Guaita, Adil Rami and Pablo Hernandez.
“The team is preparing for the new La Liga season which means, they will have to play at their best,” said Justinus.
“So I hope that Nil Maizar (the Indonesian chief coach) will bring all the best players for the game regardless of which competition they are playing in. This will be a good game for the team in preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup later in the year.”
Other than the friendly match, Valencia will also hold a coaching clinic as well as a meet and greet session with the fans.
