SINGAPORE (20 May 2009) – Liverpool fans will have to pay premium prices to see their team in action with tickets being priced at a minimum of USD60 for the match that will be played at the National Stadium.
The SGD88 (USD60) ticket prices are for the 50,000 gallery and lower grandstand seats while for the upper grandstand, they will go for SGD188 (USD128) each. The Reds are scheduled to play two matches in their Tour of Asia where they will play a match in Bangkok on 22 July before heading to the Singapore National Stadium on 26 July. Liverpool are using the tour as part of their pre-season training for the new English Premier League 2009/2010 season. “It’s a place where we know we have a lot of fans, so it means more than just turning up and playing a pre-season game. It is part of the foundation of continuing to build what is already a great club and great fan base,” said Ian Ayre, the Commercial Director, Liverpool FC. “Obviously, we want to grow that and we want to be more touchable, and ‘feel-able’ and interact with our fans all over the world.” |
