HANOI (26 Dec 2009) – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and their sponsors gave out a total of USD488,000 in rewards to the victorious women’s team and also the men’s team which won the gold and silver respectively at the recently concluded 25th edition of the SEA Games which was held in Laos.
The national women’s team, which beat Thailand on penalties in the final classification match, received VND 2 billion (USD110,000) from the VFF. They then received an additional VND 2 billion (USD110,000) from the Global Audio Visual Joint Stock Company (AVG), VND 500 million (USD27,100) from Bao Viet Insurance Company, VND 500 million (USD27,100) from the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and VND 300 million (USD16,200) from the Song Hong Construction Joint Stock Company. Goalkeeper Kieu Trinh was awarded VND 20 million (USD1,100) from the LienViet Bank. Meanwhile the Vietnam men’s U23 team, which lost the final to Malaysia, received VND 2 billion (USD110,000) from the VFF and USD100,000 from AVG Company. |
