USD45,000 WINDFALL FOR INDONESIA FUTSAL

The Indonesian Futsal squad under new coach Robby Hartono whitewashed Malaysia 5-0 in the final to lift the 8th edition of the AFF Futsal meet.

With the win, the PSSI have decided to reward the team with a bonus to the tune of IDR400 million (USD45,000).

Other than winning the overall crown which saw the Indonesia Futsal team not dropping a single game in the preliminary matches, the team also picked up the ‘Fair Play’ trophy.

“I have spoken to Ferry Paulus (the chairman of the Futsal Committee) on the issue of bonus and we believe that the reward is fair,” said PSSI president Nurdin Halid.

The windfall would do well to inspire the team for the AFC Futsal Championship next month.
