USD 63,000 PRIZE MONEY FOR INDEPENDENCE CUP

The championship, first held in 1985 and which was last held in 2000 when hosts Indonesia won the tournament will be participated by six teams.

Group A are Libya, Indonesia B and Brunei Darussalam while Group B are Indonesia A, Myanmar and Cambodia.

The top two teams from each group will make the crossover semi-finals.

“It is important that we put up a strong performance for this tournament as it will be used as an integral platform towards our preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 in December,” said Benny Dollo, the head coach of the Indonesia national team.
