HANOI (1 Feb 2018) – The Vietnam Under 23 team received a USD 1 million windfall this week for their recent performance after finishing runners-up at the AFC U23 Championship in China.
A total of VND23 billion (USD 1 million) were collected from different organisations – VND3.6 billion from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), VND1.5 billion from the Viet Nam Professional Football Join Stock Company (VPF) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and VND3.2 billion from the National Olympic Committee.
Additionally, the coaching staff and U23 players received special holiday packages at luxury resorts and funding for training courses from different sponsors nationwide.
