PHNOM PENH (24 Dec 2012) – Newly-appointed Cambodian chief coach Prak Sovannara will test his new team with two matches against Ulsan University early next month.
Following the departure of Hok Sochetra after a disastrous campaign in the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup in October, the Football Federation of Cambodian (FFC) have decided to reappoint Sovannara (pix) back into the hot seat.
With Cambodia due to play in the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers in March, the appointment of Sovannara will give the team more chance to develop. They will play two matches against Ulsan University of South Korea on 4 and 6 January 2012.
“The start of the 2013 Metfone C-League has been pushed back a week to allow the national team to play two friendly fixtures against South Korean side Ulsan University,” said May Tola, the spokesman of the FFC.
