YANGON (16 Jan 2013) – Yangon United effectively took the lead in the Myanmar National League 2013 when they scored two wins out of the first two matches of the new season to score six goals in the process.
The two-time MNL champions (2011 and 2012) edged Zwekapin United 2-0 before disposing Rakhine United 4-0. Yangon United’s next game will be against Manaw Myay on Sunday.
Following closely on second is Zeyar Shwe Myay who also picked up the full points from their first two games of the new season. They beat Hantharwady United 1-0 on the road before beating Zwekapin United 2-0 in their second tie.
Zeyar Shwe Myay will play Southern Myanmar for the first time at home on Saturday.
