MANILA (2 July 2012) – With the draw for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 in Bangkok slightly more than a week away, the Philippines Football Federation (PFF) have announced that they have drawn up 20 high-level matches in the course of the next few months.
The AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 will be held in Malaysia and Thailand starting from the last week of November.
“We want as many matches as possible to develop a strong team,” said Michael Weiss, the chief coach of the Philippines.
In August, the Philippines national team have already penned in three friendly games in the United States with the PFF now stating that they are possibly squeezing one more friendly during their sojourn there.
In October, the PFF are looking at hosting a quadrangular meet involving teams from East Asian countries Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Macau in Bacolod in October.
The PFF are also planning camps in Bahrain and Japan in the early part of November.
