HO CHI MINH CITY (16 June 2010) – Twelve teams from across Vietnam will be taking part in the 2010 National Futsal Championship scheduled to be held at the Phu Tho Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City from 20 July to 1 August.
The teams which will be taking part this year are Binh Thuan, Street Cafe An Giang, Dak Lak, Hoang Thu Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City’s Pham Gia Auto, Tam Nhat Minh, Tan Hiep Hung, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam, Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8 Sport Centre and Da Nang. The 12 teams will be divided into two groups where they will compete on a round robin basis to select the two top teams in each group qualifying for semi-finals. A trophy, gold medals and VND 25 million in cash prize will be granted to the champion team with the runners-up to win the silver medal and VND 15 million. The two third placed teams will receive the bronze medals and VND 10 million each. Other than that, the individual titles of ‘Most Valuable Player’, ‘Top Scorer’ and ‘Best Goalkeeper’ will also be awarded. Defending champions Thai Son Nam are the tournament favourites. |
