SINGAPORE (27 Nov 2014) – With the fight for the second semifinal slot in Group B still up for grabs, the three teams in the running will be going flat out to try and secure that precious berth.
The three – Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar – will however have to guard against their players who are carrying bookings. Another card in the last group match on Saturday will mean missing out on the semifinals.
A total of 12 players from the four teams have picked up bookings from the first two matches. Of this lot, 11 are from Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar.
Singapore’s players on the yellow card list are Harris Harun, Hassan Abdullah Sunny (gk) and Safuwan Baharudin.
Malaysia and Myanmar have four players each carrying bookings. They are Mohd Amri Yahyah, Azammuddin Mohd Akil, Muhammad Shukor Adan and Indra Putra Mahayuddin.
The Myanmar players on the list are David Htan, Yan Aung Kyaw, Min Min Thu and Tin Win Aung.
So far two players have been suspended Malaysia’s Gary Steven Robbat and Singapore’s Baihakki Khaizan. Gary picked up two cards in the opening game while Baihakki collected one card each against Thailand and Myanmar.
Thailand only has one player on the list Adison Promrak.
