PETALING JAYA (13 Feb 2017) – It is now down to a two-way battle for the FA of Malaysia (FAM) hot seat, as confirmed by its general secretary Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin today.
The challenge will be between Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, the owner of Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) and Tan Sri Annuar Musa, the former president of the FA of Kelantan (KAFA).
Nominations close today with the FAM Congress to be held on 25 March 2017.
Previously, there were two other names – Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, the Malaysian Minister for Youth and Sports and also Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat, the former Director General of the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs – who might have shown interest to take up the top job but they withdrew instead.
On the other hand, four other candidates will vie for the position of Deputy President while nine will do battle for the position of Vice Presidents.
