MANILA (4 June 2011) – Tickets for the Philippines’ 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Sri Lanka on 3 July 2011 in Manila are almost sold out.
The game which is the second leg of the first round World Cup qualifiers will be played at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
“We were caught off-guard. We didn’t expect it to happen this fast,” said Bonnie Ladrido, from Philippine Football Federation (PFF) organizing committee.
“Maybe only about 5 to 10% of the grandstand tickets are left.”
Bonnie said that the PHP200 (USD4.60) tickets are ‘practically sold-out’.
“If some of those Sri Lanka tickets will be freed, they will also be sold to the public,” Ladrido said.
The grandstand tickets are priced at PHP2,000 (USD46.20) and PHP3,000 (USD69.40).
