BANGKOK (7 Aug 2015) – Three teams – Buriram United, Muangthong United and Bangkok Glass – have made a game of this year’s Thai Premier League 2015 when they each drew up with the same 38 points after 18 matches played thus far.
Yet to be beaten Buriram remained on top of the table following their 2-2 draw against Muangthong last week.
In the intense game that was played at Buriram’s Thunder Castle in the northeast of Thailand, it was the visiting Muangthong side who went ahead through Mario Djurovski in the 16th minute.
Some persistent Buriram pressure into the second half saw Thitipan Puangchan conceding an own goal after 61 minutes as Diogo Luis Santo then gave the home team the lead on 77 minute.
But Cleiton Augusto Oliveira Silva made sure that both teams share the spoil with the equalizer four minutes to the end.
In the meantime, Bangkok Glass made sure of the points when they overcame Chiangrai United 3-2.
Peeraphong Pichitchotirat conceded an own goal after 14 minutes to give Chiangrai the lead before Bangkok Glass replied with the equalizer off Bodin Phala two minutes later.
But Chiangrai put their noses 2-1 in front just before the break through Renato Carlos Martins Junior.
The second half was all Bangkok Glass as they pressed Chiangrai for Krissadee Prakobkong to concede an own goal in the 50th minute as Darko Tasevski then converted a penalty eight minutes later.
