BANGKOK (12 MAY 2010) – Chonburi FC moved three points clear at the top of the Thai Premier League when they overcame TOT-CAT FC 2-0 this week.
Two goals in the first-half from from striker Pipob On-mo and in-form veteran midfielder Therdsak Chaiman gave Chonburi the full three points. But the outcome of the match was never really in doubt as when Chonburi striker Arthit Sunthornphit tested TOT-CAT keeper Samuel Por Cunningham with a freekick after just seven minutes. Several saves later however, Samuel’s bad pass was intercepted by Pipob who sent the ball into the back of the net. With just a few seconds remaining in the first half, Ekaphan Inthasen then dribbled past two defenders before playing it short Therdsak who did not hesitate to score. In the other match of the day, Bangkok Glass could only afford a drab scoreless draw to Osotspa M-150. CURRENT THAI PREMIER LEAGUE STANDINGS 1. CHONBURI FC 16pts (+12) 2. MUANG THONG 13pts (+8) 3.
