BANGKOK (13 Aug 2008) – Provincial Electrical have opened up a three-lead at the top of the Thailand Premier League 2008 as they took advantage of the scoreless draw suffered by close rivals Chonburi FC.
With the Electric Men stealing a valuable 1-0 win on the road against Army FC, the three points won made sure that they stay at the top of the table with 42 points from 20 matches. But Chonburi had only themselves to blame for the one point when they failed to take advantage of playing at home to afford only a scoreless draw against Nakornpratom FC. BEC Tero fared no better when they held Bangkok Bank FC to a 1-1 draw to remain on third as TOT FC moved up to fourth after their close 1-0 win over Customs Department.
