PHNOM PENH (1 May 2017) – Defending champions Boeung Ket Angkor suffered their biggest defeat so far this season when they fell to a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Phnom Penh Crown in the Metfone C-League on the weekend.
Playing at home at the RSN Stadium gave Crown all the confidence they needed as they spliced open the Boeung Ket defence with Brak Thiva nailing the opener after 30 minutes as striker Keo Sokgnon then doubled the advantage six minutes later.
The humiliation continued into the second half with Keo Sokpheng and then Shane Booysen’s goal right at the end.
Elsewhere, Western Phnom Penh ended Ministry of National Defence’s eight game unbeaten run with a 3-2 win as NagaWorld beat Commissary of National Police 2-1.
