BANGKOK (27 Oct 2012) – With just days left to the start of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012, the third straight defeat for hosts Thailand in the All Stars Futsal Festival certainly do not bode well for their up and coming campaign at home.
The Thais were hoping to use the All Stars Futsal Festival this week to inject confidence into the squad led by Vic Hermans.
But after struggling to beat Eqypt 4-3 in their first match, it was all downhill for the ASEAN kingpins when they fell to a 5-4 loss to Australia in their second match.
In the third game, Thailand fared no better when they fell 4-3 to the Solomon Islands while in the fourth and final tie, they could not get the better of Panama as the visitors strutted to a 7-5 victory.
For the FIFA Futsal World Cup which begins on 1 November, the Thais are in Group A against Ukraine, Paraguay and Costa Rica.
