BANGKOK (29 Jan 2014) – Thai international defender Theerathon Bunmathan was chosen as the Most Valuable Player in the Thai Premier League 2013.
The award was given out at the Football Siam Golden Ball Award ceremony, to recognise the achievements and the performance of standouts in the past year.
Theerathon, who plays for Buriram United, was instrumental in the northeastern team’s march to a hat-trick of crowns in 2013 – the TPL, FA Cup and also the League Cup.
He was also the captain of the Thai Under-23 team which regained the gold medal at the SEA Games in Myanmar last month.
Buriram won the award for Best Team while Atthapol Bussapakom was selected as Best Coach.
