JAKARTA (28 October 2024) – Satoru Mochizuki, the head coach of the Indonesia women’s national team, prefers to take the positives from their heavy defeat to the Netherlands in a friendly that was played at the De Vijverberg Stadium.
Indonesia conceded a 15-0 loss to the Netherlands – while a few days earlier, the team went down 12-1 to club side ADO Den Haag Vrouwen at the SV De Hoorn Stadium.
“It was a valuable experience for the team. The players fought and worked hard until the game ended. They didn’t give up and kept fighting. I think that’s good for the development of our team, and hopefully we will be even better in the future,” said Mochizuki.
“We are very grateful to have the opportunity to play against a strong team like the Netherlands. However, it is very unfortunate that we conceded so many goals.”
The Netherlands are ranked 11th in the world while Indonesia are 104th currently.
